You walk onto the court. They’ve got better hands, better footwork, better shots. And you’re already telling yourself, “I just need to survive.” 😬
But here’s the truth nobody tells you:You don’t have to be better. You just have to be smarter.
🎯 Play the Player, Not the Ball
When someone is better than you mechanically, don’t feed their strengths.
Keep it slow. Reset more. Dink more.
Force them to create pace.Frustrate them with patience.
Let them beat themselves.
🕳️ Target Their Weakness (Everyone Has One)
They might have flashy forehands—but how’s that backhand in transition?
They might crush serves—but can they defend a soft third shot dink war?
Watch like a hawk early in the match.
Find the hole—and drill it.
🧍♂️ Split Up the Team
In doubles, the key isn’t just where the ball goes—it’s where it pulls them.
Create separation.
Hit middle.
Dink wide.
Make them move in different directions, at different speeds, again and again.
Eventually, communication breaks down. And you pounce.
😈 Don’t Just Play the Score—Play the Moment
People fold at 8–8 way more than at 1–1.
Get to game point and turn up the pressure.
Be unpredictable.
Fake speedups.
Change spin.
And smile while you do it. 😏
🧘 The Mental Game IS the Game
Confidence isn’t about ego.
It’s about not being rattled after three unforced errors.
It's resetting with intent.
It's making the next right shot.Every time.
🏆 The Win Feels Even Better When They Were Supposed to Win
We love an underdog win.
It’s what makes pickleball addictive.
You don’t need the best paddle.
You don’t need to be the fastest.
You just need to think a little deeper, bait a little smarter, and believe a little longer. 💡
